Beware By Salim Elias Madalo

beware beware
Of the jackals and foxes
Of odious time
Those that may
Shatter the mirrors
Of our emotions
Our visions
And our dreams
And forcing us
To count and to
Understand all our
Sorrows joys
so we do not
Repeat the same
Mistake that we
Once made
And Near the stream
Of water that
Was of jasper
And agate
I sat one evening
Enjoying the song
Of a lover nightingale
Curing the rebellious
Foxes and jackals
Of odious time
Repairing all shattered
Mirrors of my dreams
My wishes
And my visions
Due to rebellious
Foxes and jackals
Of that odious time
