Biography of Dr. Syed Rono : (born January 1, 1978) is a well-known Bangladeshi poet, researcher, organizer, and editor. He was born into a teacher’s family in Hijulia village under Ghior upazila of Manikganj district.

Education & Research:
He holds an M.A. in Bengali, an LL.B. in Law, and an M.Ed. from the University of Dhaka. Driven by his religious devotion, he also completed his Alim degree in Arabic studies. In 2013, he was awarded a Ph.D. for his research in folklore and folk culture.

Literature & Culture:
His literary journey began in the sixth grade when his first poem was published in a local weekly, Alor Bani. Since then, he has written extensively across various genres, including poetry, rhymes, essays, and short stories. In the 1990s, he also earned reputation as a stage playwright and actor. He is the founder chairman of the literary organization Onyodhara Sahitya Sansad.

Journalism & Career:
Dr. Rono has a distinguished career in journalism spanning over 26 years. He serves as the editor and publisher of Dainik Onyodhara (formerly a weekly) and is currently the editor and publisher of the national daily newspaper, Alokit Pratidin.
