Two Poems by Kalyan Chakraborty- Dhaka

They Will Not Allow the Moon to Sleep Peacefully
The moon, who was accustomed to playing, laughing, and diving happily, won’t let him sleep peacefully either by the scientists.
They want to send people with strange characters to settle there.
On his beautiful chest will be carried the crowbar, gad, and the incense of religion
Then there will be nuclear tests
Missile cannons will be pointed to protect the airbase.
If oil and gold mines are found, the fight for possession will continue.
The game of Bitcoin will continue by installing supersonic missiles.
The sea of peace will be agitated by the server-driven gunboat.
The moon will no longer be there as Mama; it will become a booty
Its beauty will be raped
Its form will be tied to a ribbon and hung with a fan
Rich scientists will be playing with the remote control for everything
We will no longer be able to sit on the roof and shake hands to someone’s hair in the soft rays of the moon
The moon will become a war-torn country whose face appears pitifully on the TV screen.

I Live in Dhaka
All the roads in the country are rushing towards Dhaka at the speed of a river
It’s as if the Bay of Bengal has risen up in this city
Bitcoins are abundant like a beehive throughout this city.
Everyone’s hope of a search engine is based in Dhaka.
Once you turn on your mobile and connect, the server opens everything.
You will find a treasure trove of knowledge, a treasure trove of ignorance, and everything you want in this capital.
Its life is arranged in the grid of algorithms.
It stands taller than the pyramids of Egypt in the equation of expectation and achievement.
This human stream pulls a magnet of delusion
Here the architecture of religion is more than religion
In the eyes of truth, falsehood spreads its wings
Injustice acts bravely on the plate of justice
The tree of despair grows at the door of justice
Human values are as elusive as pearls in the ocean.
Spreading terror and destroying everything in the name of struggle is heroism.
Disobedience to elders is smartness.
Yet Dhaka survives on the strength of artificial intelligence.
We live in Dhaka because hope rises even in the midst of emptiness
Maybe Dhaka will turn around; maybe it will break the darkness and walk on the path of light
Living in Dhaka to be active in cryptocurrency is the dream of hope.
