AT The Edge Of A Field By Salim Elias Madalo

I embrace the nightingale’s song
At the edge of field
Of violet blossoms and
I Scatter the pearls of my visions
Upon the chirping of sparrows
And the cooing of doves
The bats at night
are Scattering dust
Sand and dirt
Upon the joy of butterflies
On the fields
And the springs
And at last night I saw
Upon a hill of thorns
thistles
A stork
Counting its sorrows
Awaiting its mate
Drawing on the mirrors of its wishes
A radiant sun
And the flowers of life
