“Where the Light Finds Us” Dr Haroon Rashid

There is a place inside each of us
that no one sees.
Not the smile.
Not the confidence.
Not the calm we show the world.
But the quiet room
where we sit
with our memories.
We have all stood in that room,
holding conversations
we never had,
forgiving people
who never apologized,
healing wounds
no one noticed.
And still…
we step outside
with grace.
That is the miracle of being human.
We break,
but we do not disappear.
We bend,
but we do not lose our roots.
There is a softness in survival
that the world does not talk about.
A sacred strength
in choosing tenderness
after being hurt.
The sunlight does not ask
where you have been.
It simply touches you
as if to say
you are still worthy of warmth.
And maybe that is enough.
Not perfection.
Not validation.
Not noise.
Just the quiet knowing
that you have walked through storms
and still carry
a gentle heart.
We are all
a little tired,
a little hopeful,
a little healing.
But look at us,
still loving.
Still dreaming.
Still rising toward the light
that finds us
again
and again.
