Three Lights By Salim Elias Madalo

Three Lights
The light that
enters my pupils
now grants me
the capacity for contemplation
and the ability to cross the bridges
of hope and wisdom
with a wondrous lightness
And the light that
tyrants and oppressors
blocked from the gateways of my soul
punishing me for my love
of the morning rainbow
and the blue twilight
will be restored to me by the nightingales
of the joyful singing dawn
And there is a light the golden
radiant and splendid light
comes from the heaven
amidst the dark nights
serves as a candle of hope
a beacon for contemplation
and a guide for traversing
the narrow path
toward eternity
Fleeting Clouds -Haiku poems
A fox
chases a seagull
while the wind blows
2-
The color violet
grants me warmth
in the winter of crises
3-
Tedious applause
steals the language of silence
from an innocent heart
4-
Playing upon the flute of my heart
grants me the freedom to wander
through the gardens of memory
5-
Fleeting clouds,
sorrowful stars,
and restless moons
6-
Flocks of wild ducks
arrive at the lake
all at once
7-
A violet blossom
and a rainbow
Gitter within my pupils
