The Encaged Danseuse – Sheikh Moniruzzaman Shawon

As the rays of the golden sun
Permeate the fabrics of black cloud
And pirouette on a leaf of green
I extended my hand
With fear,passion and love
To unfetter the ghunguru
Adorned encaged Danseuse ‐—-
Yet
The radiant light senses sadness in symphony
And soars away
From one abysmal darkness
To another .
In a symphony of the beyond
And a lunar smile
With anaquatic reflection of a broad grin of the luminous moonbeam
In a surreal moonlit night.
The encaged beauty
Whose centuries old siren like charm
Was auctioned off at Lucifer’s command
Still remains fettered, swollen with a broken heart.
I hold out my hand
To erase her sadness with
With a happy aubade.
Yet the divine Luna
Dives deep with me
In the bottomless
Submarine realm of
Sans light n eterenal darkness.
The spring breeze brought the rain
To create a deluge of pallid tears.
The ecaged damsel
Still remains shackled
In her mundane skeletal frame
Entrapped by the false parable
Of the forbidden fruit .
To unchain her
I extend my hand to
The open sky,the vast cosmos
Yet in the rain
The abortive passion
Of earth’s dead souls
Always return to
My primal sins.
The caged danseuse
In a chariot of goodness
Hovers away in her ethereal cage
Towards the twilight……
