No sound was heard/Salim Elias Madalo
No sound was heard
I saw the nightingales
Silent and the cold
Blanketed the place
Even the foolish owl
Could not hoot near
For the traps had been set
And the howling was faded
In to the distance no sound
Was heard to arouse
Suspicion and on the following
Night a cunning jackal
Was found dead in the
Dark valley while flocks
Of owls and ravens had
Fled panic to unknown part
thus no sound was heard
To arouse suspicion and
On the following morning
The nightingales and sparrows
Doves was regained their
Strength they flight joyfully
Singing songs of peace
Safety and serenity
