A joyful nightingale /Salim Elias Madalo
A joyful nightingale
Between branches
Of the tree was
Singing and jumping
From branch to another
Eating a worm from
Here and there and
Then it perched On
A meadow beside a violet
Flower smiling at
Rainbow but when it
Heard an owl hooting
Fled toward the spring
Of its dreams and visions
Reflecting on the mirror of
Its heart the splendor
Of springs and rivers
Then it flew joyfully
Embracing the white
Butterflies of love
And wisdom
The fragrance of lilies
And The narcissus of
Serenity .
