WHEN THE WINGS OF PEACE FLY FAR AND WIDE By Thi Lan Anh Tran-Germany

امرأة شابة مبتسمة ترتدي قميصاً أزرق، بجانب زهور بيضاء في خلفية مضيئة.

[1]

10]

And if one day
you ask me again:

“When will the dream of peace
become reality?”

I will smile.

And gently answer:

“Today.

If we begin to love.”

[11]

Fly, then—

you wings of peace.

Fly high
across every corner of the world.

Fly beyond borders.

Beyond skin color.

Beyond language.

Fly to every place
where someone is still crying.

And stay there—

until
the smile returns.

[12]

Fly.

Do not ever stop.

Even when the road ahead
is long and difficult.

Because as long as
humanity still believes,

as long as love
still lives within our hearts,

peace—

will never remain only a dream.

[13]

And one day…

beneath a clear blue sky,

birds will sing
instead of guns.

Children will laugh
instead of cry.

Hands will reach
for one another—

instead of reaching
through hatred.

And this Earth
will beat with one rhythm.

Not the rhythm of war.

Not the rhythm of division.

But—

the rhythm of humanity.

The rhythm of peace.

[14]

Peace in our hearts.

Peace upon the Earth.

Peace in every gaze
we share with one another.

Let love
connect the world.

Let compassion
cross every border.

So that humanity—

will know no more suffering.

[15]

And today,

from here—

by the sea,

where the waves
know no borders,

I want to send a message
to every human being:

Let us set
the wings of peace
free into the sky.

Fly beyond borders.

Beyond skin color.

Beyond language.

Beyond every difference
that once kept us apart.

Fly to every place
where someone is still crying.

Fly to every place
where a heart is still hurting.

And…

stay there.

Stay—

until
the smile returns.

[16]

Fly high,
you wings of peace!

Fly far.

Fly higher.

And never forget
to carry one truth with you:

That in this world,
we may be different
in our skin,
our languages,
our homelands,
and our dreams…

but we share
one Earth.

And inside every heart—

there is one
universal wish:

TO LIVE IN PEACE.

Let peace begin with me.

Let peace begin with you.

And let the wings of love
fly far and wide—

until the whole world
smiles again.

You ask me:

“When will our dreams take shape?
When will the dove of peace
stop living only in our dreams?”

I will answer—

not with a promise,

but with hope:

When human hearts
still know how to reach for one another.

[2]

Peace…

does not live only
somewhere high above the sky.

Peace is not found only
in poems,
in books,
or in whispered prayers.

Peace—

begins with forgiveness.

With a hand
that reaches out
instead of closing.

With eyes
that look upon another human being
with compassion
instead of prejudice.

[3]

When we stop building walls.

When we stop measuring one another
by victory and defeat.

When we stop dividing the world
into “us”
and “them.”

When we stop allowing hatred
to take root in our words.

Then—

the dove of peace
will find its way to fly.

[4]

Perhaps today
the sky is still filled with clouds.

Perhaps somewhere
the sound of gunfire
has not yet fallen silent.

Perhaps there are still mothers
who hold fear in their arms
through the long hours of the night.

But I believe—

if only one heart awakens,

then dawn
has already begun to rise
in the middle of the night.

[5]

So do not ask anymore:

“Where is peace?”

Look instead
into your own soul.

If there is no hatred
left within our hearts,

then a place of peace
has already begun.

If one person
chooses to live for another.

If one hand
reaches out instead of closing.

If one pair of eyes
looks upon another with kindness.

Then this world—

has gained one more heartbeat of peace.

[6]

And one day…

the blue-winged birds

will no longer fly
over skies divided by borders.

They will no longer search
for places to escape bombs and bullets.

Instead, they will return gently—

to the shared home
of all humanity.

[7]

Children will grow up
surrounded by laughter.

They will know war
only through stories
that belong to the past.

Mothers will no longer pray
through every night

for their loved ones
to return safely home.

There will be no more—

“higher” or “lower”
among human beings.

No skin color
to divide us.

No borders
to keep us apart.

No human being
born to hate another.

And no one—

will have to walk alone
through this world.

[8]

Let love
be greater than anger.

Let compassion
be stronger than selfishness.

Let each of us
become a flame—

not a flame that burns,

but one that warms
the world with love.

[9]

The wings of peace
will cross the oceans.

Carrying prayers
across a thousand distant skies.

From this heart
to another heart.

From one human being
to another.

Calling peace—

to awaken in the world.
