A Gust of Wind Blows 一陣風吹過
A gust of wind blows.
Follow with a gentle sigh
a withered yellow leaf falls.
The green leaves on the trees are vying
to stretch out their hands but too late to catch,
the dead leaves at last lie quietly on the mud
looking up at the tree reluctantly
with the leaves dancing in the wind
and shining brightly under the sunshine.
Swinhoe’s white eye birds on the branches
chirp the song of life.
A dark cloud passed by,
then showers hit on the trees, and their green leaves
held chests high, not afraid of the wind and rain.
The wind and rain gradually subside and the sunshine returns.
The leaves on the trees
radiate green light.
The dead leaves lying on the mud
finally closed their eyes at easy
rest in peace.
