Biography of Roksana Rahman

Roksana Rahman (Legal Name: Roksana Chowdhury) is a luminous and multi-faceted voice in contemporary Bangladeshi and international literature. Born on February 19 in Narayanganj, she rose above societal constraints, weaving resilience and passion into the tapestry of her poetry, stories, and novels. Inspired by the patriotic legacy of her freedom-fighter father, she has beautifully balanced her life as a pioneering beauty entrepreneur, yoga trainer, and globally acclaimed poet.

Her literary journey spans over two decades with more than 25 published books, including ‘Mritpradip’, ‘Nokkhotrer Dinratri’, and her recent epistolary poetry ‘Onamikay Rekhechi Jotone’. She is the Editor of the literary magazine “Shobdokuthi” and a trailblazer in vocational education, having authored Bangladesh’s first academic syllabus for hair dressing.

As a global literary administrator, Roksana bridges hearts and cultures through the universal language of poetry. Her contribution to world literature has been celebrated with the International Literary Certificate from Albania (2023–2025) and the International Day of Human Fraternity Award (2026), making her a proud ambassador of Bengali literature on the world stage.
